It has become necessary to make the following statement in view of the news report in Zaman Newspaper with the headline “Ministry of National Education (MEB) Unaware of the Data in the Government Program.”

Only yesterday the Ministry had denied a news report in the same newspaper on the same issue and yet today the newspaper published the 2013-2014 data as if they were new thus trying to knowingly mislead the public.

Our officials at the Press Center warned the reporter İsa Yazar that the data he was trying to use was out of date belonging to past years and yet the reporter insisted on publishing a story again with this data writing “news at the desk” that is false.

The data offered by our Ministry are the updated data that contains 2014-2015 information.

Our Ministry will start legal proceedings in view of the ongoing news campaign of defamation, slanders and lies.
