It has become necessary to make the following statement in view of the front page banner story with the headline “Headscarf was not a problem for AKP.”

Those who were fired from the public educational institutions whose cases were covered by the additional article 1 of the Law No. 5525 and those who had to resign due to the Personnel Regulation Covering the Dress Code of Persons Working in Public Establishments and Institutions or resigned due to similar reasons as well as those who faced official investigation or had to quit when they were candidates have all been reinstated.  

The teachers who were the victims of the February 28 period and whose cases fall in the category specified by the State Civil Servants Law No. 657 article 48 have been reinstated. The exception has been those whose situation does not fit the conditions specified in the article that had to lose their jobs because they were wearing head scarves and those who retired.

There are no teachers who have not been reinstated whose cases have been specified by the law.
