It has become necessary to make the following statement regarding the news report in Zaman Newspaper that appeared today (April 19, 2015) with the headline “Inspector Report Acknowledges Fraud Which the Ministry of National Education Called a Lie.”

The news that the scores given to school principals through the electronic system has been doctored, that the forms presented to the courts have been tampered and that the tampering had been acknowledged by the reports of inspectors of the Ministry of National Education is completely baseless and the news is a “lie” and a major misrepresentation of the facts.

The report prepared by the inspectors of the Ministry of National Education that is mentioned in the newspaper story reads “in conclusion it has been determined that there are errors in the forms of 65 persons including that of the form of Zeynel ÖZGÜN who has filed the complaint, that the errors are the result of system malfunctions as it has been reported in the paper number 4594432 dated 15/10/2014 of the Ministry of National Education Department of Information Technologies. The report said no one had lost or gained any advantage over these malfunctions in the system and that the Ministry has sent to right forms to the Court and that the Court verdict was given on these authentic documents and that it has been determined that there is no need to allow an investigation to be launched against those who are claimed to be responsible.” So the report is very clear and yet the mentioned newspaper has once again displayed yet another example of its guided disinformation campaign against the Ministry of National Education and the education community and has failed to mention the conclusion part of the inspectors report.
