Minister Avcı at Anıtkabir with children

Minister of National Education Nabi Avcı visited Anıtkabir with children as part of the celebrations of April 23 National Sovereignty and Children’s Day.

A delegation led by Minister of National Education Nabi Avcı visited Anıtkabir, the mausoleum of Atatürk.

Minister Avcı walked through the famous Aslanlı Yol (The Lions Path) up to the mausoleum with children carrying Turkish flags.

The delegation observed a one-minute silence after Minister Avcı laid a wreath at the mausoleum. After the national anthem the minister and his delegation has a photo taken to mark the day. After that the delegation moved on to the Mısakı Milli Tower.

This is what Minister Avcı wrote in the honorary book: “We are before the headmaster Atatürk to mark the 95th anniversary of the unconditional handing over of sovereignty to the nation and to share the joy and jubilation of the Children’s Day with our children who are the guarantee of our future. As in all the other fields we are marching ahead to surpass the level of the contemporary civilizations in education and we commemorate our Headmaster with deep respect.

After signing the book Minister Avcı had the children read out the message aloud.
