Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu received Minister of National Education Nabi Avcı and children accompanying him at the Office of the Prime Minister at the Çankaya Palace on the occasion of the April 23 National Sovereignty and Children’s Day

Davutoğlu attended to the children who sat at the seats of the ministers at the cabinet meeting room representing the respective ministries while the seat of the prime minister was taken by Demirlibahçe Primary School Third Grader Pelin Su, 10.

Prime Minister Davutoğlu and the children shared colorful dialogues. Children responded with sharp anwers to the questions of the prime minister.

Sitting at the seat of the Minister of Science, Industry  and Technology Kazan İmam Hatip Secondary School student Mustafa Yusuf Uslu said “we plan to produce the all homemade car” and the prime minister asked “how soon?” and Uslu replied “next month” with Davutoğlu smiling and responding “are you sure it will have four wheels?”

Prime Minister Davutoğlu appealed to Çubuk Bekir Yılmaz Secondary School student Hilal Yılmaz saying “please discover new oil and natural gas fields and save us.”

Davutoğlu told Sinan Koç Primary School student Elig Gök who sat at the seat of the Food, Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Minister to reduce agricultural prices as the tiny National Defense Minister Melike Hazal Bayık, a student from Mamak Yenimutlu Primary School and the child of a martyr soldier “you are taking care oıf our soldiers aren’t you? We are producing our homemade tank and our home made plane aren’t we?”

Prime Minister Davutoğlu asked young Minister of Finance Yenimahalle Kent Kooperatif Primary School student Ezer Nur Çelik “is the Treasury full? How is the budget going, there is no deficit is there?”

A journalist asked young Prime Minister Pelin Su Topraksoy “dear prime minister the elections are nearing. There is a debate on the presidential system. What are your views on this?” Topraksoy responded “we elected our class president, didn’t we?...”

Asked about the peace and reconciliation process Pelin Su responded “fraternity”.

Also asked “there is much debate about the promises of the political parties during the campaign. What do you think about the promises? How can the parties finance these promises?” Topraksoy responded: “They are promising everything but these are all baseless. I don’t think they can deliver.”
